Death and Resurrection

Although “the wages of sin are death, the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6:23). Hence, the only, immortal God offers His life "to everyone that believeth" in Him.

We believe that unbelievers will be "sentenced" and killed without another opportunity if they do not repent prior to the Second Coming of Jesus and / or before dying.. Only the redeemed, "dead in Christ", will enjoy eternity, and be those who "resurrect first" on the occasion of the Second Coming for having died in the Lord. Meanwhile, death or "sleep," constitutes a state of unconsciousness for all who have died. The day of glorification for the righteous, will be at the last trumpet, "In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.” (1 Cor. 15:52). That is to say, everyone together “shall be caught up together, to meet the Lord in the air," including the Christians living in that time. But there will be a second resurrection; this, the resurrection of the wicked will occur after the thousand years of the Second Coming and the first resurrection. (See: Rom. 6:23; 1 Tim. 6:15, 16; Ec. 9:5, 6; Ps. 146:3, 4; John 11:11-14; Col. 3:4; 1 Cor. 15:51-54; 1 Thess. 4:13-17; John 5:28, 29; Rev. 20:1-10).

Christ Will Return Again

When Jesus finishes His work of intersection there in heaven, He will say the following words: " He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy,

let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.” (Revelation 22:11). And once this pronouncement is made, He despoils His priestly attire and goes in pursuit of His clothing of King to come to earth for His own people for the second time and to live with them for eternity. “The glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ" (Titus 2:13), is His second coming. It is the blessed hope belonging to you, me, and to that of the church. The coming of the Savior will be literal, personal, visible and in global scope "with all power and glory."

(See, Tit. 2:13; Heb. 9:28; John 14:1-3; Acts 1:9-11; Mat. 24:14; Rev. 1:7; Mat. 24:43-44; 1 Thess. 4:13-18; 1 Cor. 15:51-54; 2 Thess. 1:7-10; 2:8; Rev. 14:14-20; 19:11-21; Mat. 24; Mar. 13; Lucas 21; 2 Timo. 3:1-5; 1 Thess. 5:1-6).

A Thousand years in Heaven (the Millennium) and no more Sin

In the heavens, Christ and His redeemed saints will spend a period of a thousand years; which extends between the first and the second resurrection.

During that time, the earth will be completely desolate and empty, almost like the beginning, i.e. without any kind of life; only Satan and his fallen angels will occupy it. Revelation 20:1 and 2 says: “And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years.” After completing such period, Christ and His saints and the Holy City will descend from heaven to earth. The wicked dead will rise then and, along with Satan and his angels, "And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.” (Revelation 20:9). The fire of God not only will consume them, but also, purify the land where the redeemed with Christ will live for eternity. In this way the universe will be freed from sin and sinners forever and reign complete happiness, not only on the earth, but in the entire universe of God. Because " And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” (Revelation 21:4). (See: Rev. 20; 1 Cor. 6:2, 3; Jer. 4: 23-26; Rev. 21: 1-5; Mal. 4:1; Ezek. 28:18-19).

The Ministry of Christ in the Heavenly Sanctuary

And the angels told Mary Magdalene who went to see the sepulcher, that of Jesus: "And they say unto her, Woman, why weepiest thou? She saith unto them, because they have taken away my Lord, and I

know not where they have laid him. And when she had thus said, she turned herself back, and saw Jesus standing, and knew not that it was Jesus. Jesus saith unto her, Woman, why weepiest thou? Whom sleekest thou? She, supposing him to be the gardener, saith unto him, Sir, if thou have borne him hence, tell me where thou hast laid him, and I will take him away. Jesus said unto her, Mary. She turned herself, and saith unto him, Rabboni; which is to say, Master. Jesus said unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God. " (John 20:15-17).

Thus the phrase: "Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father:" results some questions; for example:

  1. Once Jesus risen and returned to "the Father," does He become our high priest?

  2. Was the Father in some "holy place" or in the "Most Holy Place," there in heaven?

  3. If Jesus "gave up his spirit" and "the veil of the temple was torn in two" (Matthew 27:50, 51) as a sign of no more earthly sacrifices because of sin, could it be that in the "tabernacle" some "veil"? And if there had been, what would also have happened there, is that it would also have torn; because Jesus said to Mary: "I go to the Father" (John 20:17).

We believe that Jesus himself, the martyr Stephen and several of his disciples said (and it is written) that, as soon as He rose again, He went to the Father and then he remains in that "Most Holy Place" where He will come very soon. (See Acts 7:55, 56, Matthew 26:64, Mark 16:19; Luke 22:69; John 14:12, 18; 16:10, 16, 17, 28; Acts 2:33, 7:55; 1 Peter 3: 2; Hebrews 9: 3, 12, 24, 25).

The New Eden

It is in the New Land, the New Eden,

  1. Where righteousness will inhabit, like in the rest of the universe,

  2. Where God will provide an eternal home for the redeemed,

 3.  Where there will be a perfect environment for life, love, joy,             and the eternal learning in the presence of Jesus Christ, and

 4.  Where no “more death, neither sorrows, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.”

God had prophesied this through the prophet Isaiah saying: "For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the Lord, so shall your seed and your name remain. And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one Sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, said the Lord." (Isaiah 65:17 and 66:22 and 23). Meaning that, the Throne of God will be transferred to where The Savior had been crucified; where the redeemed will worship Him in His Holy Day forever. Because the Scriptures also say: " And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manners of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. And there shall be no more curses: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him: And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads. And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever”. (Revelation 22:1-5). (See: 2 Peter 3:13; Isaiah 35; 65:17-25; Matthew 5:5; Revelation 21:1-7; 11:15).
